Things have been really busy with the new job, but I found some time to get some life drawing in this weekend at CSG. Here I am playing with pastels graciously donated by Louis Ranieri. Pic also taken by Louis. Thanks.
Recently I have been able to play on a ginormous Cintiq, so I decided to do a bit of a master study of one of the drawings of Heinrich Kley. I'm still working out his wonderful crosshatching technique.
All sorts of new changes going on in the world of Ricketts right now. After 9 years as a receptionist, I finally got a new job as a Web Artist at Age of Learning. I will be making art for kids from now on. As Squibble says, "It is not the stars that hold our destinies, but ourselves".
We are doing it again! Squibble is back and will be up tomorrow at the 2nd Annual Best Little Art Show in Burbank. Join us for art, friends, and Texas BBQ. Come join us at:
